As he approaches impact, his head isn’t locked down at the ball.
Instead, it begins to rotate up and out of the way as he clears his body through the shot. This move helps ensure his torso and hips keep rotating, instead of getting stalled or stuck.
👉 Most amateurs do the opposite — they lock their head down, which prevents rotation, leads to early extension, and causes all kinds of inconsistent contact.
✅ Try this instead:
Make your normal swing.
Allow your head to turn naturally with your chest through impact.
Don’t force it — just let your head follow your body.
You’ll likely find:
Better ball-first contact
More consistent compression
Easier body rotation through the ball
This isn’t about lifting your head early — it’s about clearing your body and letting the head go with it, just like Woodland.
🎯 Let your head move to let your body move. Cleaner shots are just one swing away.
