A Simple Move That Can Fix Your Impact Position
⛳️ Stop guessing and start feeling the right motion.
How to Feel the Perfect Impact Position Before You Swing
If you want to hit longer, straighter shots with less curve, this simple drill is for you.
One of the world’s best young players uses this move to fine-tune his body rotation and consistently deliver the club at impact. Here’s how it works—and why you should give it a try next time you practice.
The Drill: Train Your Body to Rotate Correctly
Start without a club. Cross your arms across your chest.
Square up your hips at address.
Begin rotating into an impact-like position.
As you move, your hips should open first, while your shoulders stay square.
Feel your right foot lifting slightly as your body clears through.
This simple move creates a perfect blueprint of what your body should feel like at impact.
Why It Works
You’re teaching your body the correct sequence:
Hips lead → Upper body follows → Club squares with the body.
This is exactly what the best players in the world do to strike the ball consistently. After a few reps, grab your club and swing. You’ll notice the same body movements showing up in your full swing.
The Bonus Benefit: Stop Slicing
Many golfers slice because their upper body dominates the downswing. This drill helps you separate your upper and lower body, which promotes an inside path and reduces that over-the-top move that causes slices.
✅ More distance
✅ Straighter ball flight
✅ Better consistency
Try It Yourself
Before your next range session or round, do 5–10 of these rehearsals. You’ll loosen up, improve your body sequence, and strike the ball more solidly.
